He holds Ph.D. degree in Soil Science from Colorado State University, USA. Post Doctorate in Soil Science from university of Wales (UK). He possesses 41 years of experience in planning, monitoring and evaluation relating to soil, water and plant nutrition. He is an eminent soil scientist and a sound professional for combating soil salinity sodicity and water logging.  His outstanding performance in soil health, soil fertility, plant nutrition and balanced fertilization is well recognized. He has the expertise to prepare technical and guidance reports for the farmers regarding soil fertility and nutrient management issues. He has more than 30 Year experience for onsite training of farmer about soil fertility and soil health. He is author/co-author of 75 publications and one book. He completed his tenure as Director General Agriculture (Research) in 2007. He is working as head of Soil Science and Environment Section of SACAN Services since 2013. He has a vast experience for the demonstration, dissemination and capacity building of farmers, ASPs and professionals specifically band placement drill, zero tillage, ZT/Pak seeder, use of Biozote and rapid soil analysis kit under assigned projects to SACAN.
