He earned his PhD Degree in Plant breeding and Genetics from Oregon State University USA and worked as Cotton, Gram and Pulses Botanist at Ayub Agri. Research Institute. He served Agriculture Department for 37 years at responsible positions, apart from working with national and international institutions like PARC, ABAD, ICARDA and ICBA. He possesses valuable experience of transferring packages and technologies to the farming communities. He developed 12 varieties of pulses and devised techniques for mixed cropping. He retired as Director Fodder Research Institute. He has also worked with Roberts Cotton Associates (RCA), a leading seed company. He is now working with SACAN Services as head of Seed Services Section.
